Goodwood festival of speed 2016
Well what a weekend that was!
Quite frankly we were overwhelmed by the response to the Elemental Stand and the Rp1 that we took up the famous hillclimb at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The whole Elemental team spent the last few months working flat-out and as a result we were able to show off the pre-production spec Rp1 prototype; PP1, resplendent in its bright blue warpaint that drew many admiring looks in the supercar paddock. On our stand were the next two production level cars including the very smart looking red PP2, and the full chassis of the first actual customer car, FP1.
With drivers Ed, driving for us on the Friday and Saturday, and James driving on the Sunday, the Elemental Rp1 was able to give the public a taste of just how special it is. Whilst we are still fine tuning the car and with weather on each day that seemed to shift rapidly from very wet to damp to sunny and back again, our drivers were under strict instructions to take things easy on the hill. Nontheless, both produced some highly competitive times that were better than a lot of other cars from significantly more illustrious and far longer established car companies could manage.
Ed Moore’s first run on the Saturday (on a rather wet and in places, muddy track) is here:
Its been a long road to get to this point but the Elemental Rp1 is now here.
